Llewanda Halldorson DVM
Dr. Halldorson's enduring love of animals began at a very early age. This love has taken her from Veterinary College and her practice to years of work with the Humane Society and the local animal shelter.
However, after suffering a serious back injury at work and quickly running out of options with conventional medicine, she turned to alternative medicine for her own health. Her resulting recovery showed her just what Traditional Chinese Medicine could offer, and her first thought was... "There must be a way to use this to help animals!"
Life is about more than longevity, it’s also about quality. We work hard to help our patients (and the people who love them) enjoy both.
"Dr. Halldorson is a wonderful veterinarian. She helped us immensely with our dog, a 12-year-old German Shorthair, Tangiere, who was diagnosed with a lung tumour. We were told by the surgeon that she had one to two months at most to live unless we removed the lung lobe. Due to her age, this was not an option for her. We had already seen the benefits of acupuncture and Chinese herbs, so we decided this would be the best choice for Tangiere. Our choice of using alternative medicine gave Tangiere almost a year with us. She had great quality of life because of this choice. We are eternally grateful for the wonderful care she received from Dr. Llewanda. She has an amazing heart, she is thorough, kind, thoughtful and compassionate, and in our opinion, we are so lucky to have her as our veterinarian. Alternative medicine is our first choice."
